Hi there. Not your average Joe, I’m a creative rule-bender, ambitious dreamer, and loyal harmonizer. Tall, adaptable, and polite, I believe in quiet art, big nature, hard science, good people, and the mystery of life. Is this too cryptic for a personals ad?
I hope to find someone really put together, who values family, honesty, and spiritual and physical health. I find smarts and kindness super sexy. Maybe you too like cooking, going to performances and the movies, being with family at the holidays, and exploring the world, near and far. I’m at ease at your side at the orchestra or the ballpark, at a work event or dinner with friends, talking about anything from philosophy to the weather. I was born in Hong Kong. We moved to Iowa when I was a kid, and I came to Minnesota for college and grad school. I like it here, but my family is in California and New York City, and I find every reason to visit them. I’m drawn to people who identify with what’s beyond Minnesota. And I don’t mean Wisconsin. (Nothing against Wisconsin.)
I live an artist’s life (with a good-paying and satisfying job), and I’m looking for someone who appreciates the unconventional. I’m as much Minnesota as Hong Kong and proud of both. My Chinese background is important to me, so if my crazy culture and family are not daunting but something you can enjoy, then we’re going to get along just fine. In work and life, I practice openness and peace, and I like to think I get a tiny bit better at it every day.
